We're actively moving away from bukkit/spigot (which Prism 1 and 2 exclusively supported) so I don't see why I'd go back.

Spigot is basically the minecraft server version of a cracked minecraft account. (in case you don't know what that means; a cracked account is one that allows you to log into some servers without paying for an account)

Spigot and Bukkit are dead, people continuing it will eventually stop from law suits and other issues. The law suit involving Bukkit and Mojang can go on for years, effectively making any versions of bukkit and spigot above 1.7.10 unauthorized versions, and if I'm correct, illegal to create.

We're moving to Sponge because there are no strings attached to bukkit, it is it's own unique server software, and will be created bigger and better than bukkit and spigot ever were.

Moving towards Sponge is the best idea in the near future once better, more updated and less buggy versions have been released.
